If you live in Illinois and are looking for work then you should take a look at visiting the computer system Illinois Skills Match Workforce Development System. The site allows you to match what you are looking for in a job and the skills you have to thousands of job openings. Best of all, it’s available at no cost to you.

The first step in the process is to enter your work preferences and other information. After that, a list of jobs that match your qualifications is displayed. The system displays only jobs that meet every requirement you have. This can save you from spending hours at a time going through jobs that don’t meet your needs. If you’re seeing too many or not enough jobs, you can just modify your requirements to get a new job listing.

You tell the system your salary requirements as well as what types of shifts you are looking for. You can also provide a zip code and tell the system how far you are willing to commute every day. The system provides you the opportunity to answer questions about your computer skills. After that, you can select a n occupational category and supply more detailed information about your skills. Depending on how fast you are, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete your profile so be sure to allow yourself plenty of time.

Thankfully, you don’t need to worry about having to provide your criteria again. The system will save your information in what is called a ‘job search’ agent. This agent will do your work for you by looking for jobs even when you’re not at the computer. So, you can be running errands or following up on job leads and still be searching for jobs.

You can customize the Illinois Skills Match system so it works the way you need it to. You are in control of what information you provide to the employer. You decide if the employer will contact you directly or if you want to use the State of Illinois Employment Service as a middle man. You receive an email or other communication when an employer indicates they are interested in you.

If you are an employer, you can count on the Illinois Skills Match system to help you find qualified workers. You can search for employees on your time since the system is available around the clock. The first thing you do is identify what the requirements of the job are and what skill sets you are looking for. You can decide if you want to obtain employees yourself, whether you want help from Employment Service, or whether you want to divide the workload.

The system gives you the ability to filter out candidates based on the needs of your business. You can even include skills that are not requirements but are things you are wanting. Then, you can see who all matches your criteria. Only employees who match your exact criteria will be shown, saving you the time of having to wade through unqualified applicants.

Go to www.illinoisskillsmatch.com and you can access help for job seekers.

If you are unemployed, you are probably wondering how you’re going to make ends meet. The amount of financial obligations you have can be overwhelming. One way you can help yourself and your family is learn what you need to do to collect Illinois unemployment benefits. You can either file at an unemployment office or save yourself time by visiting http://www.ides.state.il.us where you can file online.

Not only can you file your initial claim online, but you can also use it to certify once every other week. Remember that you will need to certify within two weeks after filing the initial claim. Certification is necessary so Illinois can verify your eligibility to receive unemployment benefits. You can also use the site to file an appeal in the event things don’t work out the way you expect.

With the cost of gas being so high, it is certainly more convenient to take advantage of the ability to apply online. Using the Illinois unemployment web site can also help you avoid the long lines you can find at your local Illinois unemployment office. If you lost a job, it is important not to let emotions paralyze you. File for unemployment as soon as possible.

Save yourself some time when you file for unemployment in Illinois by getting all your information ready ahead of time. You will need your social security number as well as the social security number of your dependents. When filing the claim, be sure to use the names of everyone as they are listed on their social security cards. The last thing you want is for a claim to be denied because of incomplete or inaccurate information, so take your time.

When you file for unemployment benefits, you will need information about previous employers. You will need their names, addresses, the dates you worked for them, and the reason why you no longer work there. To be eligible for unemployment, you will need to be able to show that you did everything within your power to keep your job. Failure to do so will delay your benefits and possibly make you ineligible.

In order to be eligible for Illinois unemployment benefits, you need to be actively looking for work. You will also be asked questions about what type of training you participated in. The Illinois website is pretty thorough about guiding you through each step of the process. Be sure to read each page for all the valuable information it contains.

When you’re out of work, it may feel like you’re also out of luck. Resources available through the state of Illinois are available to you to help you make your luck improve. By making use of the website you can make sure you get some of the necessary income to keep the bill collectors at bay.

If you lost your job through no fault of your own, help is available to you. The quickest and easiest way to apply for help is to visit http://www.ides.state.il.us, a site to help you on your road to financial recovery. The online Idaho Department of Employment Security (IDES) site can help you provide for your family. You’ve been paying into it for some time, it’s time to take back what is due.

In order to file your unemployment insurance claim online, you’ll need Internet Explorer at least version 6.0. Your computer system needs to be at least Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Millennium Edition. Finally, you need to have Adobe Reader at least version 4.0. The claim processing portion of the site will not work with Firefox, Mozilla, or other sites that the system does not support.

It is a good idea to be prepared before you file your claim for unemployment benefits. Be sure to have the social security number of yourself and your dependents. When filling the form online, use the legal names as they appear on the social security cards. You will also need the complete names and addresses of your previous employers, dates of employment, and reasons you are no longer working there.

Simply filing a claim is not enough. You will need to certify for benefits about two weeks after you file. You will need to re-certify every two weeks. When you go through the certification option online, the system will ask you questions to make sure you are still eligible for benefits.

Just because you file for unemployment insurance and go through the certification process, there are no guarantees. You may not get anything at all or you may not get as much as expected. If that is the case, the Illinois unemployment insurance website can help you with the appeals process. It includes documents that will provide guidance for making your appeal.

From the site, you can access OneSource, an Illinois site dedicated to helping you determine which career you should pursue. It also contains a link to the Illinois Career Resource Network, which you can use to find jobs and help make your resume a tool to sell yourself.

You can use the Illinois Skills match at http://www.ides.state.il.us, which matches people looking for work with the jobs that are the best fit. The system will guide you through creating a profile which will contain information about you, including the lowest realistic salary you can accept. The system goes on to give you the opportunity to list your skills and employment history.

Being out of work can be a definite fly in the ointment. By using the resources available to you by the state of Illinois, you’ll be back in the swing of things in no time.

Illinois unemployment is designed to help you meet financial obligations by giving you temporary compensation. You’ll just need to make sure you are eligible according to Illinois law. To be eligible for Illinois unemployment, you must have previously been employed. You have to be not working due to no fault of your own, which means that quitting without a good reason isn’t going to permit benefits for Illinois unemployment.

You will be expected to file ongoing claims once every two weeks (this is also called certifying for benefits). Also, you will be expected to actively seek work and record any job offers or instances where you refused available work. You will need to answer questions pertaining to any training you obtained.

The amount of your unemployment benefits depends on your income during what is called a "base period". It includes the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters. The four calendar quarters are January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December. The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) program publishes information about begin and end dates of base period. Benefits for individuals range from $51 to $385 every week. However, if you have a spouse who is not working, the amount increases to $459 each week. Having dependant children increases the potential to $534 a week.

Benefits that you receive from Illinois unemployment are subject to Federal income taxes. You can just have the taxes taken out of your checks. File your claim as soon as possible after you become unemployed. It can take two to three weeks before your first check from unemployment arrives in the mail.

To file for unemployment, you will need your Social Security Number and your name as it appears on your social security card. Filing for unemployment requires you to provide a lot of the same type of information you would supply on an employment application. For each of your recent employers, you will need their name, mailing address, the date you started with the company and the date your employment was finished.

You will need a reason why you are no longer employed with the company. Bear in mind that to be eligible for unemployment you will need to prove that your unemployment is through no fault of your own. Basically, you need to be able to show that you did everything possible to stay employed.

Your Illinois unemployment benefits are paid through a debit card. However, IDES prefers to pay via direct deposit and this would probably be more convenient for you as well. This helps get your money sooner and it can be deposited into either a checking or savings account.
